ABH Soft Glam Leaked!

Hello Beauties!

So, if you’ve looked at my Instagram lately, you’ll notice that I am absolutely in love with Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette; but then again, who isn’t?

Obviously, I’ve fallen for the amazing red shades and just the super buttery and extremely pigmented shades within the palette, just like so many others have. With her more recent Subculture and Prism palettes released, I wasn’t as crazy and haven’t gotten around to picking them up yet, but her new palette, Soft Glam, was leaked on January 15th, 2018!2018-01-16 (4)

After the pictures of the palette were leaked, not only did I squeal with excitement because of all of the possibilities with the shades, but I also started to feel bad for Claudia Soare, Anastasia Beverly Hill’s brand president. She not only had this palette leaked, but she also had Subculture leaked previously in 2017.

Soare went to Instagram and Twitter to respond to people blaming TrendMood, leakers of Subculture from before, but also to reveal Kicks in Sweden as the company who leaked Soft Glam.2018-01-16.png

Kicks.se and Kicks.no were quick to say that they had gotten the go ahead from Anastasia Nordics, so they posted a picture of the new palette by saying that they were “So ready for spring!”

Even with her anger towards the palette leak before the official brand news, she still managed to show off the fantastic and semi-bridal looking palette.

The colors look gorgeous and are said to be made with the same consistency as the shades in Modern Renaissance. @Norvina says that this new palette will be a makeup artist’s bridal makeup dream, and it definitely seems it. The shades feature some really soft pinks and a stunning rose gold shade. It also has a lot of beaming champagne gold colors, as shown in the newly announced swatches.

However, with all the buzz going on about how beautiful the new palette is, fans have been commenting on how some of the shades were already in previous palettes. While Norvina does reveal that three of the shades were from Modern Renaissance and two of her mom’s favorite shades, Orange Soda and Sienna, were already in single shadow forms, fans didn’t seem to be too pleased with the re-use of colors.

With everything in mind, the seven new colors, and the guarantee of the same formulation of Modern Renaissance isn’t speaking to me as much. Also, the generic matte black shade, Noir, isn’t really catching my attention since so many other palettes and companies feature similar shades.

Some beauty fans went to Reddit to call Anastasia Beverly Hills on becoming the new Too Faced when it came to re-using pre-existing colors, and were even done with so many palette releases.2018-01-16-2.png

Even though she seemed incredibly angry at the palette leak drama, Norvina still says that Anastasia Beverly Hills products will still be sold at Kicks.2018-01-16 (3)

All in all, it just seems like another pretty and Instagrammable palette. So, is it really worth it?

Is Soft Glam going to be on your wish list until it comes out in stores March 2018 or are you also closing up your wallets and your makeup collections to the new Anastasia Beverly Hills palette?

XOXO
